Grrr! Memory card worm in wellknown store

Options
My camera memory card has never been used anywhere except in my camera and my PC

Until last week when I used it in a large wellknown supermarket's photo shop to order a personalised gift

When I next put it into my PC, my antivirus detected a worm (some sort of tracking)

Successfully quarantined but Grrrrrrrr! - couldn't the photobooth use some antivirus to help customers avoid this!

Receipt has a survey "how did we do" - I am going to enoy filling it in!
You never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow

If it's had malicious software put on it, name and shame! (Make sure you're right though, a lot of antivirus programs throw up false alerts).

In all likelihood it came via your PC not the photo booth.

Have you any evidence for that rather bizarre remark or are you just trying to increase your post count? :rotfl:

Did you go back and inform them?

If it was just a tracker it sounds more like something that the photo booth uses to access your memory card and leaves something behind rather then a virus.

As well as giving more information on what was found, if it IS a real worm/virus then the store needs to be informed or it will continue to affect other customers.

The photo machine is likely a PC underneath so could have picked it up off of another customer.
