These things aren't instant. Expect to see your accounts updated online sometime between 10pm and midnight.0 -

I hope your right0 -
Lloyds TSB used to update current accounts online at anytime from 10pm Sun - Thurs but for the last 6 - 8 months it's always been after midnight. Before that accounts were updated from around 2.15 pm on a Sunday but that changed to 10pm & then to after midnight.0

But the 'overnight' stuff - things like incoming credits, clearing cheques, debit card charges - or outgoing standing orders and direct debits - 'reconciliation banking' in other words - that probably has to take place during a fairly large 'time-window' at the beginning of each working day, and not before midnight I would assume.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -
I've noticed recently (the last month or so) that transactions are occuring more than once in a day. But that doesn't explain it well.
Ok, on Monday I buy something using my debit card.
In the morning of the Tuesday, I will check my balance online and things like credits, standing orders & direct debits are shown for that day. No debit card transactions are shown.
When I check the next day (Wednesday), debit card payments processed are then dated the day before (Tuesday), and new any credits, standing order & direct debits are dated Wednesday.
Its like the debit card payments are processed a day early now, when it never used to be like that. If I purchased using my debit card on Monday then it was processed/shown on my statement on the Wednesday.
Has there been a change of policy at Lloydstsb does anyone know? Not that it bothers me, I have the funds, its just an odd way to process me thinks and maybe a little sneaky as you see one thing in the morning, and its different for the day when you check the next day.0
