tanking cellar with waterproof slurry ?

I have been researching this slurry system by soveriegn chemicals and koster etc, i understand that once you have tanked the cellar you cant drill into it as you would break the seal.
So i wondered how you would insulate and plasterboard to make it a bedroom, can you dot and dab onto the tanking ? or is there a better way,

any advice please would be appreciated thanks

yes you can plaster or PB as normal over the top.
obviously using adhesive, instead of screws/nails.

  • If you want to live in a swimming pool, tank it. Otherwise, ventilate the cellar properly, let it dry out, and lime plaster it. Tanking is dreadful and stores up problems for the future - where is all that water going ? Behind the tanking and into the walls.... not nice.

By the time you get 3 metres down to basement floor level you will possibly be into the ground water table ( at least in the winter) . You certainly would in London. You will not contain water ingress under pressure with a lime render and if you are into water table the only solution is a proprietry waterproof render. Just get one where the contractor offers a 25 year guarantee (you can usually insure the guarantee agains the guarantor going out of business.)
