I HATE London and all the gangs, chavs, crime and rude people though
They really do get everywhere. out here in the sticks my parish magazine gleefully recorded a drop in the nuber of asbos in communities small enough to stamp out antisocial behaviour on their own one would have hoped (I am of course not advocating vgilante style violence, just a strong comunity resolve). ''chavs'' (I hate that term) live everywhere and are alays noticable as they usually coe with a label. Rude people are harder: they come with and without the latest trends. Honestly, people are people.0 -
But I'm sure the amount of shootings and stabbings is higher in London than elsewhere in the UK?
I know there are pockets of all types everywhere but whenever I go out of London and visit other towns in Sussex and Kent, it's always such a relief and noticeably nicer. London used to be ok, it's got so bad though in the last 10 or so years.0 -

yes...I guess so. Three years ago my neighbours dog sitter was tied up o the bed after soe one broke in and left there for over 24 hours though so....at least in Town people are more likely to hear you screamThere is always a bright side.
Here, I gave the police our ap coordinates last time we had a trespasser (that happens a lot)and th police still ent to the wrong place...0 -

When i was a teenager I lived in a place with a population of approx 6000,there was more chance of getting my head kicked in that village than there is in London. If you're tired of London you're tired of living.0 -

Very true, that made me laugh! I have actually lost count though the amount of times I've had to ring the police where I am currently living.
I admit I would be nervous living alone in a more rural area though with things like that going on.0 -
What a surprise, only on page one and already this thread has turned into an argument about whether London is !!!! or not. Unsurprisingly people who don't like living in cities are saying it's rubbish, and people who like living in cities say its quite good.0

Not true, that only applies if you want shops, theatres, town centre pubs etc, I actually believe that I will be able to live the life I want when I move out of London - apart from gig venues that I will just have to drive to and public transport, I can't see what I'd miss. Having lived in London all my life, I've seen everything I want to of it.0 -
If it's more than half hour drive to the countryside (like london), my wife would be reluctant to live there. We both like having the countryside nearby.0

You're welcome to move but remember the grass is always greener on the other side.0
