I'm another one who'd like softer hair and to rid of upper arm bumpiness/blotchiness. My sister's arms improved a lot and she said it was from daily exfoliating gloves and garnier summer body moisturiser. It hasn't worked yet for me - maybe because i haven't got around to doing it daily!

Has anyone tried Aveda shampoo/conditioner? i can't decide if it's worth the extortionate price to try it.

I like the Boots time delay daily facial cleansing scrub. It's very gentle and effective and smell yum. It's often available for 50p when you get a free £5 skincare voucher (very MSE).

I also like the Boots own brand coconut deep conditioning 3 minute mask. Again, it's cheap (£2ish for a big tub), smells good and works.

I second the body shop cocoa butter body butter recommendation- another one that's effective and smells great. (Hmm, I'm starting to see a pattern here).

For bumpy skin a masseuse recommended dry brushing to me. I haven't tried it but I intend to!

I'm a big no7 fan too - I like all the products I have tried so far. I have one of their face masks you leave on for 5 mins and have been getting compliments on my skin so it must work! I have also bought an aussie 3 minute miracle for my hair which leaves it REALLY soft. Although I think I will get an even deeper conditioner to use too. I'm using real hair extensions - amazing - but I need my own hair to be in tip top condition too! I'm also using nail hardener, which works a treat when on but no use when off! Hopeing to aoid falises on the day.

Could you tell me which no7 mask it is please

Dry brushing is when you get a stiff brush (Made for the purpose, not for sweeping the floor!) and brush your skin firmly when it is dry. I had it done before a massage once and it made my skin sing! It removes dead skin cells - likely to be causing the bumps - and improves circulation. She recommended it as the best thing to do before a shower every day. I would imagine they sell the brushes in chemists or ask at your local beauty palour?

I will check mask and get back to you.

Ah ok thank you,not sure if i fancy torturing myself as i have very sensitive skin, not as in dryness, simply to touch.even someone poking me in the tops of my arms and legs hurts alot and im not a wimp lol i find exfoliating uncomfortable but need's must with arms on show in my dress.

Does anyone have any good tips to prevent split ends? I never use any styling products on my hair but I blow-dry every day and don't get it trimmed often enough :o I'm getting it trimmed soon and intend to treat it better next year, what is best to use, a heat protection spray, or a serum, or both?

    My skincare recs would be:
St Ives facial scrub - once a week
Montagne Jeunesse Sauna Masque (you know those cheap sachets) - once a week, it heats up as you apply it and feels lovely.
No7 Protect & Perfect (I've tried a few cheaper versions recently but this is the best)
Mineral foundation (looks great and is good for your skin - I use Lily Lolo and BareMinerals)
Soap & Glory Flake away body scrub - great for bumpy arms and scaly elbows, really scrubby but also has lots of oils in so it's moisturising too.

I use to have really long hair and terrible split ends about 5 years ago only way to get rid was to have it cut mine was bad so i ended up having an inverted bob (hair was to the top of my bum),i have it trimmed every 4-6 weeks and needless to say no split ends since :)

Keeping it trimmed regular will stop it in the future

as for hair care i dont use anything apart from a charles worthington volume spray and i use GHD's so super hot,my hair is in great condition, sometimes these products make your hair worse, also try not to wash it everyday you take your natural oils away,i do mine every other as its short and black so looks greasy if i leave it longer

Is there a specific item you use from that range or is it all of it?
