Bridal beauty regime - recommendations?

I've been trying out some new lotions and potions recently, to see what really helps in terms of getting my skin, hair etc looking its best for the big day.

I'm sure I'm not alone, so I thought maybe we could share our bridal beauty tips?

My recommendations so far:

Boots No7 'Radiance Revealed' exfoliator is good as a face scrub but even better on clearing up little bumps and blemishes on my upper arms

Trilogy Rosehip Oil is working minor miracles on my crows feet and general skin tone

Finally, Nanoblur is an amazing product, though maybe not for everyone, as it has mixed reviews online. I'm 35 and it's given me back my 25-year-old forehead, I'm not joking! The effect is only temporary, but I'll definitely be using it on the day.

Does anyone else have any great beauty tips or tricks to share?

  • Dove tinted moisturiser : helps give your skin a bit of shimmer and slight tan , without looking like you have any fake tan on or anything, really good :)
  • what an excellent thread suggestion!. I've got just over 10 months to go and after xmas is out the way I will be DEFINITELY be starting on the pre-wedding prep. (Not in wedding mode ATM with all the xmas hoo-ha going on, esp with all those lovely mince pies, advent calendars, etc. around!!)

Will defo look into that Boots Radiance Revealed stuff as I suffer with bumps and blemishes on my upper arms too...and as I'm having a strapless dress then do not want them to look bleurgh.

Will come back and add anything if I find anything to add :)

I'm a big no7 fan too - I like all the products I have tried so far. I have one of their face masks you leave on for 5 mins and have been getting compliments on my skin so it must work! I have also bought an aussie 3 minute miracle for my hair which leaves it REALLY soft. Although I think I will get an even deeper conditioner to use too. I'm using real hair extensions - amazing - but I need my own hair to be in tip top condition too! I'm also using nail hardener, which works a treat when on but no use when off! Hopeing to aoid falises on the day.

For hair I would really really recommend kertease deep conditioner it is a bit pricy but really worth it I asked for a lot of my expensive products for birthdya and christmas last year and they are jsut coming to the end now.
  • This is a great thread, I am absolutely useless in that I never really think about 'beauty regimes' - a bit of E45 is about as far as I get! but I'll definately be lurking about here for other peoples hints and tips!
:) Trying to be good and watch the pennies, but guilty of falling off the wagon every so often! :p

Regarding skin- I recommend using cetaphil. The dermatologist suggested it, apparently it was made specifically for them. It cleans your face without removing any of your essential oils, I have been using it a few months, and I think my pores are looking much smaller.

For hair, rubbing olive oil into it and leaving it for half an hour works wonders. I try and do this once a month and it makes it really shiny.

Wash your hair over the bath and not in the shower so the soaps dont cause spots on your back.
The body shop shampoo's are fab
keep your cuticles in trim and use cuticle oil in prep for any of you having your nails done
I love the body shop cocoa body butter
