    I haven't got any more to add, so I will just echo what everyone else has said. Stay away from distance learning for a childcare course if you haven't got a placement for the practical side of things.

    Do you have GCSE English and maths or an equivalent? If not then I'd suggest using your spare time before next Sept to do this.

    Are you employed by the children's centre? If so, and you are not volunteering then why are they not paying for your qualification?
