Buying kitchen appliances from Boots Online

Hi

Not sure if this is the correct place to post. But I need to buy a fridge/freezer and washing machine and have seen some I like on Boots Kitchen Appliances Online. I'm a bit wary about buying such expensive items online though. Has anyone had any experience of buying these items from them? Do you think it would be OK to buy from them?

I Recently purchase a fridge from them with no problems. They are run by a company called DRL limited who also run onlinie sainsurys appliances .Like alot of other online electrics ie comet currys dixons you are going hear about peoples complaints ,Currys customer service is appalling in my experience.

Don't forget to use rpoints or quidco to get cash back and also use your Boots advantage card .

I purchased a fridge freezer from them in aug 06. I waited for double points and had £29 worth of points added to my card. Well chuffed. To be honest i did go to currys and comet first, found the one i wanted and then used a shopbot. Boots was the cheapest.

  • We bought a washing machine from them a couple of months ago, as it was £150 cheaper than the high street shops!
We did have a hiccup re delivery. We were given a date then it was cancelled,re sheduled for the same date! Then cancelled and new date given, and successfully delivered. I complained and they refunded the delivery charge.:j
Also the day after we purchased, there was an offer of extra boots advantage points. When I pointed this out, they honoured the points.:D
Overall the item was delivered within two weeks.Customer services were helpful, and they did keep us informed re situation, and were pleasant to deal with.
The machine with all discounts and boots points worked out nearly £200 cheaper in the end. Definately was worth it for us.
  • Thanks for the replies!

I will give them a go.

Me too, I bought a Siemans fridge freezer from them and had no problems. They delivered on the day - make sure they take all the wrapping off so you can inspect before signing to say the goods were received in good condition. They will aslo take all the cardboard and wrapping away for you. I bought mine when they had double points so got £45 worth of points back - however, the credited me with two lots of £45. I still need to ge back to Boots to let them know of their error.

  • Got a dishwasher from them just after Xmas, all delivered fine, cheapest I could find and double points too.
  • The Company that delivers for Boots Online also deliver appliances for B&Q. I found them very helpful and obliging when they delivered my chest freezer.
