Eon - Tesco Clubcard Points;huge delay!
Hoping this is the right place to be posting this;
I have my energy supplied by Eon (gas and electricity) and I had two Tesco Clubcards and when checking earlier this year and tidying things up, I altered my Eon-registered card to be the same as the one on my Tesco Account (ie they were differing Card Numbers) so as to make it easier to see and use any points/vouchers accrued.. I also noticed that,as part of Eon`s tie-in with Tesco,they offered their customers one Clubcard point for every £2 paid to them,and as a result, I was owed 4778 points!
Whoopee I thought,as I made arrangements to have these points moved and recognised on my required registered card,back in October..(I have to say,Eon`s online account service HAS been very prompt and informative when replying to the various questions I fired off to them over this-as I am profoundly deaf & cannot hear well enough to discuss matters over the phone with them). However, after I chased them for the third time, to find out why these points had not yet materialised, this is what I was told;
"We allocated your Tesco Clubcard points from your old card on 25 October 2011. Generally the points are allocated to show on your account every 6 months. Therefore you should see the Clubcard points due to you in February 2012"
Nobody mentioned this anywhere!!! Surely this cant be right?? I am peeved that I will now miss out on any Double Offers, Xmas Rewards,etc etc..:mad:

Hi caro9697 and welcome to the forum :hello:
I thought I would reply and try and advise you what normally happens with the Tesco points.
You will receive 1 point for every £2 payment we receive, the points will show on your statements from us, normally on the first page.
So if you are billed quarterly you will see the points each quarter, 6 monthly again you will see these on your 6 monthly bill.
Once the points have shown on your statements from E.ON, they are passed over to Tesco, you will then see the points from E.ON on your Tesco clubcard statement.
Hope this helps a little.

Thanks Helena,for your reply
I am puzzled,as I get quarterly bills,so surely these points should have shown somewhere by now?
My latest bill was 20th November which clearly states I have earned 4778 points,to date. On 25th October I was told that these would be passed over to my Clubcard,and on 2nd November I was advised that Eon were unable to tell me just how long this transaction would take..! Finally on 27th November I got told about the 6 month timescale,which you have explained applies to 6-monthly billed customers.
You can see why I am confused!!
Any chance of clarifying the whole thing further,please and giving an idea when I will see these points?
Many thanks

Hi again caro9697,
Once the points are showing on your E.ON statement this means we have allocated them and sent them over to Tesco.
It's then up to Tesco to allocate them to you.
Have you asked Tesco if they have the points to allocate to you.
If you need me to take a look at your account, I will be happy to help, just email me your details to the email address in my profile page.
