Bank's head office in Scotland

I have written the first two letters to my bank, both receiving only holding letters. I am about to submit the relevant forms to the county court but my bank's head office is in Scotland (Royal Bank of Scotland) and my branch is in Southampton. Is this likely to cause problems as Scotland seem to have different rules? Has anyone had experience of this? I would be grateful for any advice.

  • I claimed against Bank of Scotland using the head office address for HBOS group. Give me two minutes and I'll find out RBS's contact details for England..

  • This is the address for England:
    KAY STANBRIDGE
    RBS LITIGATION
    1 PRINCESS STREET
    LONDON
    EC2R 8PB

As she's the litigation person I presume it would be that address you'd use :D

  • Thanks for the Litigation name and address. Do you think I need to send copies of my first two letters here or just complete and submit the county court forms with this address as the defendant?
  • To be on the safe side I would forward copies of the letters to that address, although chances are RBS have already done so. I wouldn't put her name as the defendant but the Bank's name under that address.
