Phone insurance abroad - HELP!

iam going travelling very soon for a year and will be working in Oz for the majority of the time....i have got travel insurance but it only covered valuables lost or stolen up to a value of £200 which is no good cos i have an iphone.

i wanted to get phone insurance which would cover the cost of an iphone and cover me oversees...do i have to look at australian insurance companies or is there a uk based company who can insure me...the last one i called which stated they would insure me for up to 90 days said that was dependant on me returning to the uk within that time period so im worried thats what all the companies will say?

If you're working in Oz you'll be living in an apartment, with contents insurance. Add your iPhone to that, or get a cheaper phone. Travel Insurance isn't designed to cover very high cost items.
