OK if you buy the wireless adaptop for the XBox current RRP £60 then you will have to enter yor wep or wpa code if your wireless router is secure
however if you can wire in the xbox to the router this will overcome anysetup required.
Then you will have to buy a subscription to xbox live to be able to play online of which there are 2 types silver and gold
see here http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/live/xbox360/memberships.htm0 -
hi all you need is the SID number which is on the back or bottom of your router. oh and the network adaptor £54,99 at https://www.play.com
Pls be nice to all MSer's
There's no such thing as a stupid question, and even if you disagree courtesy helps.
Tomorrow never come's as today is yesterday and tomorrow is today

thanks for your help
I have a grey cable that looks like a network cable, do i just plug in the two and it will work then?
sorry have no idea what a wep or wpa code is, my friend sorted my laptop
computer woman what would I do with that code?
oh and do I have to pay to play online then?? I thought it was free0 -
Yeah that grey cable sounds like the right thing. Plug one end into the back of the console, then the other into a spare socket on the back of the router, then it will automatically connect to xbox live.
Then have a look at your games, because a lot of them will offer a 48 hour trial of xbox live gold. If this is the first time you connected your xbox to the internet then you should also get a month's free trial of the gold service
After these trials are over, you'll have to get your wallet out and get yourself a subscription to xbox live gold, because without gold you won't be able to play online. Have a look on ebay for cheap subscriptions...0 -
You get a free silver subscription for xbox live. At least thats what ive got. Also there is a free trial for the gold version for a month.0

Three yes 3 free 1 month trails of Xbox Live Gold on every Xbox 360.0
