A little more information would be helpful? What is the nature of the dispute? If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

If you're in dispute with a company who you have finance with, it's best to keep up the repayments until it's resolved. Have you stopped making payments ?0

Sorry this isn't what you want to hear but if your in dispute with the retailer, to stop payments to the finance company is a very silly thing to do and will affect your ability to obtain credit in the future, may affect your insurance premiums ect.
What is the dispute? How long have you had the product? More information would help others help you. If you have a genuine claim, a section 75 claim with the finance provider may be an option for you.0 -
the suite we got from dfs is the wrong colour, not uwrapped,,although it is the colour wife signed for,,it aint the colour the daghter said shee wanted,,she wanted black,,and got eebony,,which is dark blue in dfs world,,we have got the trading standards involved we are being advisedd by them0

Well in that case, you still need to pay for the finance. Even when in dispute, the finance needs to be kept upto day, or they can (and will) trash your credit rating.
The only time you will get away with not paying it, is if the dispute is with regards to the finance paperwork...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

You really need to carry on making the payments in that case.0 -
