  • Just checked the dates and he bought the thing on 5th November! I didn't realise he'd had it so long!

I think I'll pop down the police station tomorrow.

Why? They'll likely just tell you that its a civil matter.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
  • I'm going to report the threats to come to my house and get his money back...

Unless he has stated or implied that he will do something illegal then what is there to report?
Saying that he will be coming to your house and asking for a refund is not illegal and he has every right to do this, just as you have every right to refuse the refund.
  • I have specifically asked him not to. If he does, it is harassment and trespassing...
  • Tresspass is not a criminal offence in the UK so there isn't anything that the police can or will do about it.
As to harassment, I would be very surprised if the police show any interest simply because someone has stated that they will turn up at your house.

Instead of going to the police station, you would be be better off using the online service if your local police force has this facility.

I think you should report the fact you have told him not to visit and he has threatened to come anyway. If it does turn ugly and you have to call the police again, they are more likely to pull their socks up and deal with him as there can be the suggestion they should have done more to help you in the first place.

    You reckon????
  • I've just registered by telephone. They assured me it was the correct thing to do, considering his threatening comments.
