Family holiday for 6

My boyfriend and I have £3000 between us to spend on a family holiday.
Each of us has 2 children, although my eldest will be 15 on the 21st August at the time so maybe classed as an adult.
We have found it best to book two rooms in the past and this is what we would be looking to do this year, we are happy to do this on two bookings if we can save money this way by geting a child free place. We have been to Majorca and Menorca the last two years and are looking for somewhere differant.
We are not sure where to go but have the following requirements....
Must be half board (for AI we could stretch abit more on the price)
Must have a nice sandy beach nearby.
Must be during August.
It would be good to be in a larger hotel as making friends is important to the kids, especially the teen.
Prefably mostly english guests (boyfriend insists on this)
Any ideas anyone?
Thank you!

Do you want to go for a week or a fortnight?
And
What airports can you fly from?"Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."0 -
Sorry, how daft of me.
Two weeks, Manchester would be first choice, then Blackpool.

I know you said you didnt want Majorca but we have just booked for 2 adults and 3 kids to go to Alcudia last week of summer holidays. As the eldest is 14 he was classed as an adult. It is a pain having more than 4 in accomodation as there is less choice and the price increases significantly.
Booked flights through easyjet from Liverpool to Palma for £830.
We chose private apartments from www.ownersdirect.co.uk as last time we went to Alcudia there were lots of bars catering for kids of a night etc.
However did notice you could go to Belleview apartments which has lots of entertainment etc all inclusive.
2 x 2 one bedroom apartments for summer hol weeks = £1253 - this is if you book through www.diytravel.co.uk
Taxi each way to Alcudia is approx £100
Plus insurance would be required.
However I think that is a good deal.
Good luck in finding a holidayMoney SPENDING Expert0 -
Thanks Bluenose.
I love Majorca, we went to Palma Nova last year but drove to Alcudia and boyfriend stayed at the Alcudia Pins three years ago. But I really fancy a change this time, maybe a greek island?

Looks interesting Sloppychops thanks. I will show BF. Have you seen anything outside Spain at all? Two rooms are still prefable as the kids don't always get along!
