Hi
I'm a graduate student doing a professional course so I have to pay out of my own pocket, no loans. And I working part time
I bought a notebook from of world and signed and agreed to pay for it through instalments for the next 6 months, the guy sold me Microsoft student software as well as norton, this added in an extra £100. I agreed because he said if your going on the payment plan which spreads the cost then I recommend you purchasing theeeenprodcuts too.
I signed the agreement and passed credit check. And they took out a deposit of £30 then £28 for the incoming months
3 weeks later
A letter arrived from the credit company on behalf of pc world... Due to an admin error at the company we can't go ahead with the payment plan, go back to the branch and make full payment there or call now and make full payment
I have not replies ti anyone for 2 weeks nor heard anything. I feel disgusted that they have failed to agree with what I signed, there is nothing mentioned in the terms and conditions about them cancelling.
I have been told to just ignore them, if they want their money they will have to chase me. I could have been away abroad and never receive this letter !
I feel angry, upset and let down.

Seems very odd. If there was a problem with the paperwork, they would just ask you to sign a new one.
What company is the letter from?Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
Telephone them and ask whats happened and why...
They must have some grounds to now rescind the agreement formed. Remember agreements can be verbal aswell as in writing so even if they have messed up the paperwork it doesn't mean you have not entered into a contract. And the fact you can demonstrate a footprint on your credit file and have records of payments made it would not be difficult to persuade a judge that a contract has been formed in the form of a payment plan.0
