Any parents out there know about Brio/Chuggington?

I picked up a fantastic load of Brio/ELC track and caboodle from a car boot sale for my grandson, but want to supplement it with a little extra track. (It's a 'Play with at grandma's house' toy!) ELC have a good deal on Chugginton track - does anyone know if they're compatible, please? Google suggests they may be but there have been problems in the past, so any up to date info much welcomed!

Most wooden train sets are interchangeable. Have a look at the Lidl website too, they have a Brio set on next week, I think (proper branded Brio, not a generic wooden train set)It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Thank you! 25 years since I was regularly buying toys, so I'm really out of the loop!Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0

Or Ikea do track plus separate trains for a reasonable price. We interchange between Brio, ELC and Ikea & they all work really well!

Looking round I don't think the Chuggington track is compatible with Brio/ELC/IKEA. As a grandfather buying this sort of stuff I find the addition of 99p (Ebay plus post) item, train or carriage renews interest quite succesfuly.0

not sure with chuggington but the thomas and lightening mcqueen wooden tracks fit any wooden train sets."I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0

Hi - the chuggington track we have is definately not compatible with the wooden brio/ELC sets. Not sure if there are different types of tracks available with Chuggington though! The tracks we've got are plastic with totally different fittings to the Brio stuff0
