As for unauthorised overdraft rates, I suggest people don't exceed their limit without authorisation. Simples!
Another sycophant. Ill tell you what this forum needs a good investigation to see what is actually going on here. Or maybe there is just a pre-ponderous amount of fools who think if they just follow the rules everything will work out fine.
Yes try that shoe on another idiot, somebody might actually believe the crap you are spinning.0 -

SO then Gadgetmind who-ever you are, i havent had time to read your backposts but i dont think i need to from that reply.
SO then you think these loan shark APRS are OK then ? I mean you just defended that ?
did you or did you not just defend that APR of 800,000% ?0 -

It is not an APR of 800,000%.
Yes, that figure appeared on the BBC. However, the link that you provided is to MoneyBox, a Radio 4 programme. Whilst on the whole that's a pretty decent programme, they do like their share of 'Daily Mail' style headline-grabbing stories - of which this is a prime example.
Santander do not charge APRs of 800,000%, because this fee cannot be expressed as an APR. It is a daily flat fee, not interest.
It also has nothing to do with this thread, which is titled 'Is Santander Safe?'.0 -

Why can't flat fees on overdrafts be expressed as an APR ??? They manage to do it (because they have to) for the flat fees now charged on mortgages for example. Same principle.0 -
