Lidl have gas alarms in at £9.99p...3 year warranty, and have a transformer plug on them, so presumably don't use a lot of electric.....can someone tell me how they differ from Co2 Detectors.

A gas alarm detects gas in the air (which could happen if there was a leak), which is explosive. A carbon monoxide detector detects carbon monoxide, which can poison you. Carbon monoxide is released when gas doesn't combust properly.
