I agree my newest windows both sound like a trumpet. The big bay is the worst it used to be just when it was very windy but now it is doing it when we open the door to the room, kids going in and out makes a very annoying noise.
My windows are only 3 years old :mad: so do you think the seals are faulty?0 -
Sounds more like leaves getting trapped in the air vents and acting like a reed in a woodwind instrument.0

Regarding the posts about noisy windows, it's more than likely the silicone seal that's causing the noise, either internal, external or both. Look very closely at the silicone seal and there will be points where it's peeled away from the upvc, this leaves a very fine silicone edge which vibrates when the wind blows. The best solution is to have the old silicone removed replaced0
