  • Thx razorbladekisses, I appreciate your kind words...

Well, the 'ex' has just pointed out a few errors in my spreadsheet ( thought he ought to see it, would be interested in seeing his ! ) which means I just about break even though still without the car maintenance, holidays, birthdays, Christmas, clothes, days out, meals out, nights out or 'goodies' !! I'm now though a little less stressed.... Even the tooth fairy's due tonight to rob another pound from me, lol !!! :)

That's good to hear. :) No advice to give, but just wanted to join others in giving you some support and congrats for getting things sorted out. I know it's a lot of work and new stuff to learn/take on right now but it will all be worth it in the end. :j

    LOL, theiving *#!!er. ;)

p.s. Love the new avatar - so appropriate. ;)
  • Thanks nightswimmer :)

I'm waiting for DS to fall asleep so I can go and collect another grisly item for my bedside table, lol. *wonders if they sell well on Ebay* ;) Then at last I can go to bed and read me book ! See, cheap lone parent Saturday night entertainment, lol :)
  • I'm glad to hear that you're feeling less stressed.

I've no idea what you sell on eBay and can appreciate you not wanting to say but is there anyway that you could increase your stock or perhaps sell a new line, anything like that?

Woohoo! I'm normal! Gotta go tell the cat.
  • I sell anything that will make money. New stuff now though rather than things picked up secondhand. Through experience I much prefer the smaller items where there's less packing involved and as for storage, my house looked like Santa's Grotto before Christmas ! Still, if I do have to fill the house with large awkward to wrap stuff just because that's all that's around to make money at the time, then I will ! I have to, lol !

I'm lucky that I can afford to buy quite a bit on credit and have the help of family credit too. ( I've never fallen behind on these payments ).

I'm trying to think of a particular market that I could just sell in. I guess it's best to have a go at any ideas whilst still carrying on with all the odss and sods stuff ? I need a new ID too ( no, it's not arushofblood ;) ), something a little more professional and doesn't give my name and date of birth away ! ( Something else that scares the !!!!!! out of me at times !! :)
  • When thinking of what you would like to sell on eBay it's often good to sell something that interests you or that you know something about. Perhaps it's just me but I prefer it when a seller sells similar items and sticks to that theme. I'm not keen on sellers who sell bits and pieces.

Perhaps you have a particular hobby that could pehaps be developed further.

A good eBay ID is also important as you want to come across as professional.

  • I have *loads* of interests but not really anything in particular ! No time for hobbies as such, though I guess renovating my lovely terrace house is one :)

I've thought of a few specific ideas to perhaps have a go at. Thought about having a few ID's and selling specific to these, seeing which goes well and taking it from there. I presume there's nothing wrong with having more than one ID registered t the same person/address ?

Another question.... The things that I've bought to sell have been split between family member's credit cards, ie, they've bought, I've kept the profits. Would this make a defference to what I need to declare ? Again, I know I sound it but I'm really not trying to be deceiptful, lol !

Just a quick response to one of your questions. You can have as many ids as you want, as long as each has different email addresses and bank details. I already have several ids, and like your suggestion I have specific ids to sell specific products. One of my ids for instance sells only variations of an item on a BIN. I just upload dutch BINS and leave it to run itself. The paypal payments all go to my 1 premier paypal account though.

EDIT: just to say that obviously the different ids must never interact with each other.

Your personal details, name, address, phone number etc must all be correct so they will be the same. It is only bank details and email that must be different. Just register a different card and use a Hotmail address.
