actually redden my eyes visibly and cause a burning sensation.
do you get the same sensation if you have been crying aswell?
if so - get checked out !! this was the only symptom I had until the cyst showed itself. Apparently blepheritis is closely related to dandruff and actually causes the your tears not to form properly (tears are made up of three parts - and its the 3rd part that doesn't form) which then makes your eyes really sore and feels like your eyelids are on fire.

Yes i did thankyou though. Dr said it was an allergic reaction to the make-up i was wearing and sure enough didnt wear that brand or any for a bit and it went:) The eyelids went puffy as well:(
  • I have really sensitive eyes and have tried most mascara brands over the years. My eyes would puff up and would be very red and itchy, Doc said it was an allergic reation. I too have tried the Boots No 7 "sensitive" one and my eyes puffed up etc. I'm not sure why but after that one I tried the Boots No 7 "waterproof" one and I've been using this one for about 8 years now. It's a bit odd but I'm not risking trying anything else now. As for eye creams go I've used Decleor products for about 5 years and have not had any problems at all. They are pricey but I get mine from ebay, again I wouldn't use anything else.
  • Many thanks to all who replied to my original question - very helpful!

I have now tried the Clinique Gentle waterproof mascara and it is great - no reaction to it at all, no soreness or runny eyes, brilliant! So huge thanks to everyone who recommended that :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T
