Countdown sell vouchers at 5% discount for many shops. The catch is unless you spend them quickly you are losing interest on the capital.0

Excellent tip, Andrewb6k. You can boost the value by paying for them on a cashback or 0% credit card as well!0

Thought I'd bump this back up as it might come in handy for someone's christmas shopping. :)0

The Sainsburys vouchers can be used for petrol, automatically getting you 5% off!0 -
Daft question time
T&C's state "You have to be a registered Xexec Member to use this service."
How do you register?How do I add a signature?0 -
I don't think you have to register, hopefully one of the people who have ordered can clear this up though.Daft question time

You can't register, it's a thing that your employer would purchase group membership in, on your behalf.
But because the voucher provision is outsourced to Farepak, who obviously make more than 5% profit on them, they don't appear to be bothered if you are an xexec member of not - they don't ask for any membership details.0 -
Good spot Andrew,
We spend about £60 on main shop in Sainsbury each week, and then I usually have to put in about £30 of petrol whilst Im there.
£90 per week spend will save £4.50 which is £234 per year.
To put this saving into perspective, thats equivalent to the interest earned on £5000 in a 6% saving account !!
I'm certainly going to order the Sainsbury vouchers and also some of the Choice vouchers, for the infrequent shopping in Argus, Boots, Bhs, Peacocks and WHSmiths.
I reckon this thread is worth over £300 pa to me.
Thanks AndrewBad Spellers of the world untie0
