I am classed as a bull and I said one of the reasons I purchased a new build was energy efficiency as I saw that as being a major concern for the future.
I thought it was the "bears" that thought older houses were best, built better, bigger, hold up price better etc. ?
PS, my boiler still works and as not cost anything but service costs, the house has not fallen down, no cracks, the roof is still there and all the slates etc.

In most affluent areas older properties sell for more than their new build counterparts. I suspect the chavs in northern cities are skewing the data.0 -
