Problem with Power of Attorney and HSBC
Comments
-
I am going through exactly the same thing with the HSBC, I have registered my mothers power of attorney with them, yet I have NO ACCESS to her bank account, they will not let me bank online, I am not allowed to have a debit card or a cheque book. My mum has Alzheimer's, still lives in her own home, and this is her main bank account which all her bills are paid out of. Every time I talk to somebody on the phone, they tell me a different thing...it is an nightmare bank to deal with. I have another appointment to see somebody in branch, and this time I am going to kick up a fuss! If that doesn't work..time to close the accounts and open new ones elsewhere!!!0

A relative is able to use EPOA with Barclays for internet banking for the donor. It was necessary to visit the branch to get everything set up.0
