Claims company

Hi, ive been contacted by a company called ppi claims now(wilson tarquin) i know your recommended not to use a company but i just wondered if anyone has actually used them before and what did they think?

I would write letters myself to the companies I had credit cards and catalogues to but i dont actually know if i ever had ppi with them and only have customer numbers for them.

Any advice would be great

A claims company wont help you with that. You still need to give your complaint reasons whether you use a claims company or not. All they are really doing is putting a stamp on the envelope and taking x% plus VAT from you.

Just ring up the banks or catalogues and ask if they have account numbers and if you had ppi,if this doesnt work,write a letter to each asking for all info they hold on you and enclose £10 for each.

This is what you will have to do if you employ a claims co and they have the cheek to charge you for doing the legwork yourself.

Give it a go,suprise yourself.

Hey thanks, im lookin up the numbers now for the companies i had cards and catalogues with. I have my original account numbers for each one. I take it they have to tell you whether or not you did have ppi with them, its not like they`ll say i didnt but in actual fact i did?
