myhermes has seemingly done the same to a parcel I was expecting.
Where it is I don't know. As someone was in ALL day it was meant to have been delivered, and no-one came knocking on the door, I see something more untowards in this little episode.
Only reason I found out it was "delivered to a secure location" is by contacting the seller.0 -
So did anyone get a refund, ive sent using myhermes and it says secure location but the buyer says they havent got it0

I find MyHermes is always down to the courier. Mine is really great and will always leave a card and check I got the item next time he delivers that I am home. I have heard some bad stories from people I have sent stuff to though.
I think if you want to avoid it being left when no-one is home you have to pay extra to get a signature on delivery. I think its an extra pound or so.0 -
I have just raised missing parcel with Hermes that was sent to a business address, it was collected from me and tracked all way to their northern base, and out with a courier, the tracking shows
Date Time Status
22/07/2013 08:59 Awaiting Courier Receipt
22/07/2013 03:58 Out For Delivery
20/07/2013 08:32 Courier to Re-attempt
20/07/2013 03:53 Out For Delivery To Courier
19/07/2013 23:32 Processed at Depot
19/07/2013 21:56 Receipt at Depot
19/07/2013 05:45 Hub Sorter Receipt Scan
18/07/2013 13:26 Sent to myhermes central hub
Hum.... Awaiting Courier Receipt, a signature was required, and I paid for £100 insurance, they have acknowledged my query
saying:-
"I have passed the information to our investigations team, who will look into this and we will get back to you within 24 hours."
We will see !!!!!!
First parcel with them and will be the last !0 -
Astounded to find that "Secure location" means by small fence on busy inner city road. Buyer says no card, no message sent to him despite giving these details. Item of great sentimental value apparently now lost.
No "insurance" taken. This strikes me as negligence. Advice welcome on proceding with legal action.
Thank you.0 -
....turned out my 95 quid trainers and a small child's large christmas present had been chucked in my bin - secure and hygienic. Grrreat :T0

Likewise, I can't complain about our driver either. He always leaves my parcels for me in the blue lidded (paper recycling) bin if I'm not at home, then pops his card through the door. When I have something large for him to pick up and have to leave it outside by the bins, he messages me to say that he's got the parcel.
There was an incident about 5 years ago, where I had somebody else's parcel delivered to me together with my parcels (it happened to be from the same clothes shop, same packaging). Their tracking also said 'delivered to a secure location', which they found quite frustrating, as the parcel was nowhere to be seen.
Their address was only half the mile down the road, so I hand delivered their parcel and we since become really good friends.
Hope OP gets some answers and gets the claim sorted.0 -

Thank you.
You have resurrected a 4 year old thread, hence why your question may go unanswered, you should start your own thread.
If you have 'no insurance' then it sounds as if you booked via a third party and not direct with Hermes.0 -
Hermes tracking shows me that the parcel went to my buyer at 1.00pm yesterday, to "a secure location".
I got an email from my buyer this morning, saying a note had been left that the parcel was left by a mattress. The buyer claims the mattress and rubbish was taken to the tip.
I have asked my buyer to clarify and to photograph the note left by the courier, as I checked and yesterday was not a council bin day, so maybe someone in her household took the stuff to the tip. My parcel was in a new medium sized box with red/white fragile tape all round, so hardly to be mistaken for rubbish.
The courier had been given no instructions by me to leave the parcel anywhere. I really expect a delivery in person or if it fits, through the letterbox.:mad:0
