hi,
I am looking as per title, for a nice digital camera under £80 (cheaper would be nice obviously). My criterias are:
- Decent optical zoom, preferably at least 4X.
- Li-ion battery (don't want to use AA's)
- Easy to use, point and shoot, with decent picture quality in different environments (night, low light, outdoors...).
I have seen the Nikon Coolpix S3100 which seems to fit the bill.

Also seen the Fujifilm L55, which is considerably cheaper, but gets good reviews too (although none on Amazon)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fujifilm-FinePix-L55-Digital-Camera/dp/B005NZJPCG/ref=zg_bs_332215031_38
I would be glad for some advice! thank you.

Those listed under "best budget cameras" are all too expensive for me really.
I did find a great indepth review of the S3100 though! Still undecided...There's just so many out there!0 -

I'm having the same problem
Trying to find one to upgrade my old Canon but it's just so difficult to find one that does what you need it to. If you can stretch to £105 then the Panasonic Lumix FS35 is pretty good. Here is another site that might help you http://www.cameras.co.uk/

Have a look at the Canon Ixus 220HS.
It's £150 at Currys with 10% off at checkout so £135 plus £20 cashback = £115 for one of the best cameras under £200.
There are reviews for it on photographyblog and cameras.co.uk0 -
I got this recently, like the way the lens is automatically behind a cover when closed

£80 but should have 10% off applied at checkout0 -
I have found another one that looks good for my budget...Olympus VG-120. I like that it has a 5X zoom.

Any thoughts? I'm getting completely overwhelmed by the choice out there!0 -
I am very impressed by the Fuji AX350 which meets all your criteria except the power, but I consider using easily-obtained AAs a plus rather than a minus.I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0
