Rec money but no interest lloyds

I rec my payment from lloyds tsb but have had numerous staff tell me that I would rec interest and when questioned it with ANDREA BARRY she told me a big fat No! because I no longer had paperwork what they were offering me was a 'goodwill gesture'

has anyone else been in a similar situation - no paperwork, but has made another claim for interest because of all the fiasco and delays in reaching payment

If you are talking about an old loan then Lloyds are correct... it's just a goodwill gesture.
They generally have the paperwork and info for the last 7-10 years.

I had some loans from the 1980's and 1990's that had PPI on them.
I have no paper work, just the loan numbers. Lloyds no longer have any paperwork either.
But I did get an offer from them of £1200 compensation for each loan.
And remember they can only calculate interest if they know the exact amounts of the PPI.

That's all the offer is... just a "goodwill gesture" of compensation.
They could easily have said sorry no paperwork therefore no refund.

I have other loans with them where the exact PPI is known.
For these they have also given refund, but provided clear figures of the breakdown... the refund of all the PPI paid plus the usual interest at 8%.

    That is correct.

You are getting lucky basically. No information but they are paying an amount as goodwill. If they were paying based on the information available and using real figures then there would be interest.
