  • My first year of these advent comps and they are draining me already.

We are moving home (all being well) in next few weeks so I am only entering competitions which don't ask for an address on the entry form, so that I don't have to worry about prizes being delivered to old address after we move. Think I would of given up by now if I was still entering my normal amount of competitions on top of them.
Was thinking of having a few weeks off as not won anything since October but I am far too addicted to the thought of winning and keep telling myself the next win is just round the corner.

Hope everyone is having some luck with these! I only stumbled on this thread trying to cheer myself up seeing what everyone else had won.
  • How many competitions are you all managing to enter whilst the advents are taking over our lives?

I'm "just" managing to keep up with the newly added boards, dailies and about 85% of advents, which are those I want to enter. I haven't been able to check the competitions ending in the next few days though, which is how I generally like to end my days. :(
Thank you, to all those who make the comps forum, what it is.

I've been ill since Monday, starting to feel better today but I am already starting to stress about how many competitions I've missed. I don't even want to start to think how far behind I am on the main comp board.
I can see me having a lot of late nights over the next few weeks.

ARGH! Advent stress! It's adding to my general Christmas stress, lol.

I've started falling behind on the main board now, because I've been prioritising the advents, and I was determined not to do this! I was hoping to catch up again this weekend, but I've been too busy with Christmas shopping, wrapping, putting up decorations, etc. If only I didn't have a job to get in the way of comping! I don't break up until the day before Christmas Eve, so I'm having to get everything done over this weekend and next. And it didn't help that I was out three nights in a row last week (one was due to a win!), so had no time to do anything in the evenings.

Hope everyone else is coping better!

Does anyone know if any of the advents wait until the end (ie after Christmas) before announcing winners? Or do they all let the winners know as they go along?

  • So glad I've found this thread....I no longer feel alone in going out of my mind with entering the advents! lol ;)

I'm just about getting my head around the ones that are no good for me (ie those that offer discount on orders and free delivery etc) - so just waiting for my first win now. I hope it comes soon, because I truly feel like I'm losing the plot with it taking over my life. Even my kids are becoming as obsessed with entering them as I am

Also want to say thanks so much to all the wonderful compers for finding and posting them all
Thank you so much to everyone who post & help with comps! :j
