I now have an extra £600 a month to play with - it's going straight on DH's loan, apart from £200 to make up some NI contribution shortfalls I have.
We're going to be debt free by the end of this year - if everything goes swimmingly we'll be debt free by September, so fingers crossed!
Woohoo Seraphina, fantastic news! Well done you :TIf you can't be a good example, be a dire warning

Well I am pretty sure I will manage a NSD today but Halifax have added £28.00 of charges on to my bank account today which has now probably made me go over my overdraft limit  which I assume will mean that they will charge me again - can't wait to receive my statements to get my money back.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 607 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T

Spent so far today 60p on a can of coke, this is becoming a habit again, must try harder, also £10 for dress down day at work in aid of charity.
I did not have time to make lunch this morning and really want to go to the pub for some nice food, but as I live down the road will go home and make something instead and watch some tv.
Have a good day everyone.Skint Mummy0 -

Another NSD for me- 4th this week!!! Since Saturday I've spent the grand total of £4.50. One of the benefits of being on maternity leave is that there's no pressure to do anything or go anywhere. And clothes shops are out of the question as I'm the size of a small bungalow.Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24

I put all my 1p, 2p and 5p coins into the coinstar machine at the supermarket today and used the £12.60 to buy fabric softener, a chicken and soup ingredients.
I am now making a huge pot of chicken broth that will last me through work lunches for a week in chilled & frozen portions.

...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Don't put the fabric softener in the soup! It makes it very frothy, lol.bank_of_slate wrote:I put all my 1p, 2p and 5p coins into the coinstar machine at the supermarket today and used the £12.60 to buy fabric softener, a chicken and soup ingredients.
