    a month....nightmare!!!!!!

how much compensation did you get

do you get it for your calls package as well as your landline and broadband? (as the calls package is pretty useless without it)

currently getting home calls routed to business...which is fine except were probably losing business this way........can we ask them to route calls to a mobile instead????

whats annoyed me is lies lies lies about when an engineer is coming out...if they just said ...sorry were really busy...short staffed etc etc really sorry won't be able to get someone out till saturday....that would be ok...its the lies that i hate

think you can do the redirect online here

    https://www2.bt.com/btPortal/application?origin=ftpd_hub_page.jsp&event=bea.portal.framework.internal.portlet.event&pageid=ftpd_hub&portletid=ftpd_hub&portletns=ftpd_hub&wfevent=event.ft_start_ft_webflow&com.bea.event.type=linkclick&oLDesc=faultTrackingDsc&oSiteArea=con.mya&oPJsp=ftpd_hub_page.jsp&oPt=ftpd_hub&oLName=faultTrackingParams&oOJsp=&oPg=ftpd_hub&siteArea=con.mya

just put the details in, or spend the 20 minutes waiting to get through on 150

the compensation for the line was automatic after the fault was closed and I rang up and asked, some sort of standard compensation after day 3) the broadband was a loop between broadband and BT until I kicked up a fuss talking to BT and they credited

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

So this compensation only applies if you don't have your incoming calls diverted to another landline or mobile?

What a load of rubbish, but is what we've come to expect in Rip-Off Britain!

So the cost of the "free" diversion is therefore the cost of the rental rebate (which you loose). And all it is is a rebate for each day of being without service!! So you are being refunded for what you're not getting anyway.
As well as this, if your incoming calls are diverted to a mobile, we will automatically credit a call allowance to your next bill, to contribute towards the cost of calls you make from your mobile.
So if you divert to another landline, you don't get a penny compensation or a rebate!! The trick here (if you have another landline) is to divert calls to a mobile and make calls from your other landline. That way you still get paid for calling from your mobile.

    Also:
    Missed appointments

If we fail to keep an appointment we have made with you, you can claim a one-off fixed rate payment.

What is it with the telephone service in this country? Why does it seem to have gone downhill since privatisation? Why is it that electricity service is repaired right away, but a telephone service will be so many days?
