halifax to barclays faster payments

they both accept faster payments i never had a issue i always transfer money every month even £50 or £300 etc and done instant

well today this morning i went on halifax to transfer £100 and when it was transfering i got a error saying it couldnt transfer due to a error on there system but when i check balance online account it says its been sent off to barclays

i checked barclays theres nothing in the account so now i getting worried if its gone somewhere else due to there system fault

so now i after wait till tuesday to take further action with barclays as they said they cant do anything untill 3days is up and if it asnt been reversed back to halifax the money

as anyone had this issue and did you get the money in the 3days:mad:

just that if it dont get reversed in 3days and not in barclays then i going to worry who to get in touch with to sort it as it be a big pain

There have been a few reports of LBG (Lloyds TSB, Halifax, BoS) Faster Payments being a little slower today.

Check the other threads ... some people have now said their money has arrived.

well i been waiting 6hours but still nothing i check tonight and tomorrow if no luck i just wait till tuesday and hope its in

I did a payment this morning from BOS to First Direct , I got an error message saying the payment was not processed due to a technical issue but it still debited by BOS account , as yet its still not showing in my FD account and this is about 6 hours also

BOS said its a nationwide issue and they have turned their faster payments off - they did give me a £10 credit for my phone call

I will check after 3 days and then if its not arrived get them to trace it

I arranged a payment from HBOS to Metro Bank on Wednesday, post-dated to 02/12/2011. These normally go as FPO and take minutes to be sent. This one was on statement yesterday morning as BP, and staff thought this meant BACS, and that it could take until Tuesday to arrive. They said it might still go as a Faster Payment in spite of BP on statement. They said that the Faster Payments system had been unreliable earlier on Friday, and there was nothing they could do about it, as it is run by an independent company. Metro Bank said they were also aware of a Faster Payments problem, though at present they normally can take some hours to ledger Faster Payments even when working OK.

As I have to pay something with my Metro Bank debit card on Monday, I was quite annoyed, and made arrangements to pay from elsewhere if it didn't get there in time.

Metro Bank online banking was not working most of Friday, but I see this morning that it did in fact arrive some time later on Friday after all.
