Is it good news or bad news when a fox kills a rabbit? It depends on whether you are the fox or the rabbit.

Your preference is to pretend to have tenants working 18 hours a day in Starbucks to cover your imaginary rent charges. If the market changes such that the tenant can buy the property at a 70% discount, that is only bad news for real landloards [STRIKE]you[/STRIKE].

A serious correction is the market's way of telling vested interests that they are getting it wrong and they are not listening. It is very painful but a lot of good can come out of it.

    Corrected for you.

Well, point number 1 is that 70% discount off house prices will NEVER EVER happen - of that there can be no dispute. In fact we have seen the bottom - it has gone.

AND, if my tenants wish to buy my property - they can. I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with that. It has, as all things in life, a price.

The good times are rolling for Landlords, higher property prices that we are seeing is just the icing on an already very rich cake.

House prices are still tanking on my estate:).

I wouldnt be surprised to see a 100k house during the boom, now sell for 70% less.

Thats why ill be buying there, i may end up buying that exact same style of house i mentioned earlier.

The more i save on my house purchase, the more ive got to put down for a deposit on a wife:money:.

Did yours come with some kind of guarentee or warranty, and have you added her to your house contents insurance ?

I've sort of made a pledge to myself that I would thank any post that gave me a proper out loud laugh - wether or not I agree with the sentiments of the poster.

i can see this pledge getting me into trouble at some point ; but hey ho.:)

My tenants are up and ready to work in the fields at 6 a.m in the morning. For there little mud huts they pay me the majority of their produce but will get some rotten potatoes and a thatch over their heads,
