I'm in the exact same position - buying a new Tiguan and being offered the £2K "deposit contribution" and 3-year service plan for £249 if I take the VW Solutions finance.

Similarly; I don't really want the finance but don't want to lose the incentives, so want to pay it off as early as possible to achieve the lowest overall cost.

Did you get an answer GP 1? Or does anyone else know how early you can withdraw or pay off the 'VW Solutions' credit without losing the incentives? And is it really necessary to pay it off in two bits (ie: 'the bulk' followed by 'the settlement') as mentioned earlier in the thread?

I was in the same position 3 months ago, I ordered a new Tiguan as was going to pay cash. On the dealers advice took the finance option got 2 K off free services for 3 years. After 3 weeks cancelled the finance paid off with no penalty and NO HASSLE

The Tiguan is a very comfortable , reliable

Not really - it's plagued with a number of problems just like the rest of the range.

That was the old TDI (code BKP) where the shaft for the oil pump did not have an adequate depth of seating.. long since history. Current TDI (code CLJA) is fine providing you do not re-map it to try and get 200ps

    Thanks for the confirmation anotherbadrick.

TradePro would probably be horrified; I'm buying a 4WD 140PS (dodgy?) TDI with a (hideously complex?) DSG gearbox and the (leaking?) sunroof! :rotfl:

The truth is that no car design is perfect - they all have their specific issues. And there'll always be a newer, better, version tomorrow. At the end of the day; you just have to weigh all the pros and cons and make the best decision for yourself.

Yes paid it off as I was already in possession of the vehicle.

    Thanks for that :T
I ordered my Tiguan today, So this is the first time I noticed there is an acceptance fee of £125 and an option tp purchase fee of £60.
did you have to pay these?
  • With the Solutions plan, do you go straight to the dealer for this, or is it still available to you if you go through a broker like drive the deal or broadspeed? Glad you guys posted on this thread. Very informative for me as I'm about to use it with my local dealer.
