I have had lots of trouble with my Nationwide card in Oz but my Clarity was ok, if you use Nationwide Flex account even though it's a current account you need to press ' credit card' on the machine.0

Its not a good idea to be using the Nationwide Flex account blue Visa card any more overseas though as you now get charged 2% commission and £1 flat rate withdrawal fee worldwide.
For that reason you should only be using a Nationwide credit card overseas and even then only in the EU and EEA since elsewhere in the world you will be charged 1% foreign exchange rate levy, even on the credit card. By contrast the Clarity card is always exchange rate fee free.0 -

The new Nationwide Select card is commission free everywhere, just got mine. But no use for cash as it charges for ATM withdrawals.0
