Has anyone done this recently? I would be grateful if you could let me know how long it takes from the time you send the letter confirming closure.I want to open up another PO saver but cant until my existing account, now giving a rubbish interest rate,is closed.

You have to write to them. They action it fairly quickly though.

They are a very backward set up. Getting money in and out I found to be a pain, which is why they don't have my money any longer (plus the dodgy 'Bank of Ireland' is behind it).

to be honest I have found them really good in terms of managing the account online. The unlimited withdrawls is in my view a good thing with 3.01% on offer. The Irish Bank is an issue but as long as I am covered by the £85k rule then I am happy.Dont intend to hold anywhere near as much as that though.I use it a a transit camp for my funds.
