The Topper Sailing boat is ready for summer Sue and my Reefs are my birthday present from my boyfriend. Excellent x

    Hi Samtoby, what are Reefs?
Last night i found out that you can LOSE money in an ISA...... Did anyone else know this???

I was talking to some friends last night about my upcoming bank meeting and they said they put £1,800 into an ISA and by the time they took it out they had £700 in there!!!!!

I am no longer getting an ISA, they advised i just get a normal savings account if i dont want to keep it all under the floorboards!

    x

Ruth, I think Jakes-mum is right, the cash kind is just like a normal savings account so if your friends lost money they must have had the stocks & shares kind? But they should have been warned before they took it out! I've started a cash isa recently online and had no problems. I wouldn't touch the stocks & shares kind cos I'm not clever enough to be playing the stock market (and I can't afford to lose my money lol)

Sailing a a cheap sport once you have bought the boat. Mine is at Christchurch near Bournenouth and we can sail through out to see from the harbour. Its so beautiful espcially on a clear day.

Although....sailing through the run is a challenge....mix of the harbour waters and see; there is a current....get in that andyou end up with your sail caught up with the families crabbing off the quay....I did find out what that was like last year....my son was crying he thought it was so funny! Bless him sat at the front with the Lucy the Daushaund. Quite an entertaining watch I reckon!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Oh that did make me laugh :)

I'm potting shrapnel most days, love the sound of money on money :rotfl:

Hugs to everyone, and welcome back Sue

    Hi Ruth,

That will only happen if you invest in a stocks & shares ISA. The market is so volatile right now and this type of investment is not a good option, particularly if you don't understand the market and choose underperforming shares or funds. I have one and have not made any money, but have not lost any either (thankfully). When markets are volatile, cash is king, always! Cash ISAs will not loose you any money as the banks undertake to pay you interest at a certain rate.

Have potted £5,80 today. Am slowly creeping towards the 10% mark.

    Hugs to all, :A
