Went on this morning, to check news and was hit with it. Changed location settings ( a little better) then found out if you click on news at the top, it takes you to the normal original page.

It looks so messy, wonder how much that has cost to redesign?

If it's any use, if you click on "Explore the new BBC Homepage" (just next to the clock), it takes you to "What's new on the BBC Homepage" and on the RH side of the screen is a button for a survey to tell them what you think... I have.

There was nothing wrong with the old homepage. This is just change for change's sake.

I use a Mac and Safari doesn't seem to handle it too well. It is a bit better today, but yesterday the BBC site caused Safari to lock up every time.

And it is a horrible layout too. Was there any need to change the look of the site? I'm sure they have better things to spend their/our money on.

I access the BBC site via the news front page (which has not changed over the last few days), but looking at the current main home page it's appallingly badly thought out.

I rarely go on the BBC Homepage itself, but just had a quick look. It seems like the intention is to put a system in place that makes the site more accessible to those visiting it using tablets rather than laptops (or at least that is my instinct in relation to the various sliding menus). I don't think it's a bad system in principle, but the way that this one has been designed specifically makes it look a little messy to say the least.
