How long `til you NEED to go shopping??

Hi all

I`ve just done a "stocktake" (yes I know it`s a bit sad) of my freezers and cupboards and I reckon I could be snowed in for about two weeks and not go hungry !!:T

How long could you survive on the contents of your cupboards?

well we have lots of stuff in but nothing we could make a full meal with, plenty of meat in the freezer, so unless we just want to eat a bowl of mince meat or some chicken fillets on their own I might need to buy some bits at the weekend :o

we've probably got 3 or 4 'spare' meals worth of food in cupboards and freezer then some beans and bread etc.

We go shopping once a week and only have to top up very occasionally.

We've spent a while living in rented places with tiny freezers so only just getting used to having a 'proper' freezer and keeping it well stocked.

    I shopped yesterday at Iceland.
For the week before though, I defrosted my freezer so I got about 10% more food in it than before.
I have meal planned and am good for the next 30 days. :T :j

  • Well I don't have much fresh fruit and veg in or anything vaguely nice, but reckon I could last 10 days if I needed too. Probably more. My meals would start to get a bit repetitive and boring, but that's my life!

Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.
  • I'd run out of bread & milk first, but god forbid I run our of Philedelphia cheese spread, the kids would riot !

1, veg delivery is tomorrow! Without that, probably about a week.

I get milk delivered and make own bread now so saves that bit.
One day I might be more organised...........

I could manage for a couple of weeks I reckon but would need a top up of milk, fruit juice and fresh stuff. We certainly wouldn't starve though!
