New PC (Question)

Options
Hi,
I am looking to buy a new home PC. I need fairly good spec i.e. dual core, 1gig or more processor 250/350 gig HD etc. I have recently bought a new LCD monitor so don't need a monitor.

I just wondered if anyone could recommend a good reliable seller where I can get one without the monitor and maybe with interest free credit for a year or so.

My budget is up to £500 maybe £600.

Any thoughts gratefully received.

Ta

    For your aunt??

I would normally suggest https://www.dmxdimension.com, but not sure if you can get all Dells without a monitor.

    http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?b=&c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&oc=D02925

£599 if you drop the service to collect and return
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?

They seem to have a few PCs that tick all your requirements :)

You might be able to get better deal from Evesham if you select a PC with a monitor and then customise it to remove the bits you don't need. I did that last November and saved over £200 for the same spec but a different package!

Don't forget 2% from Quidco - I ordered mine by phone and managed to haggle them to half price delivery :D
  • Whats it to be used for?

Certainly NOT for the Aunt, never going near that machine ever ever ever again, I've had to pickle my liver with stella to get over that, (and the tv thing still doesn't work)

Itried Dell as first port of call but couldn't seem to get them without a monitor.

    Thanks for the tips.

(Correction. Just followed your link and found them without the monitor. Ta)

  • Whats it to be used for?

Mostly web but I need it to be time proofed for a while cos the Children are starting to use it now and I'm sure that they will have a huge amount of uses for it as time goes by. I was also considerng doing some video editing i.e. transferring all my old home camcorder tapes to CD and things like that.

I'n not really into gaming that much but I'm sure the girls will be when they gat a little older.

  • Aldi are doing a medion PC again soon and they don't come with monitors and seem to have a few goodies thrown in like remote control etc. and have a 3 year warranty if I remember correctly (certainly most of their stuff does). I haven't used one myself though so couildn't personally recommend them.

  • I agree with 30111987 Evesham have been my choice for PC's (and now TV's) for the last 6 years. Plus i noticed today they are now offering free delivery on everything.
