Lamp with Screw in bulb????

Just found what I thought was the ideal lamp to hold my daylight bulbs for my craft work, when I have assembled it, it is for a screw in bulb rather than a push in bulb, can this be easily changed and if so how would I do it????

Yeah you can get ES (screw in) to BC (bayonet) converters the only problem is they add about an inch between the bulb and the socket making the bulb stick out further. This is assuming it's an ES fitting, if it's a small screw-in fitting it could be SES.
Maplin do them for £3.99, code:BK69A although you could probably pick them up for less if you shop around.

Might be cheaper and better in the long run to buy an ES daylight bulb.0 -
Hi Cherokee,
Never done it myself but if you go to the link below, shows a page of bulbs etc. About halfway down the list is a es to bc convertor. Quick and easy but not cheap. Even further down the list are es lampholders which you could use to replace the fitting.
Maplins are not the cheapist for things. You may be able to get these at a local multinational DIY store or you could try a local electrical supplier like an electrician trade type shop.

Why don't you just purchase the correct Lamps for the light fitting?0

Thanks folks, Nobleck it took me ages to find these daylight bulbs, nowhere around here had them, when I eventually found them, I bought in bulk :-))0

Fair enough, i was only wandering why you wanted to convert the fitting, why not try your local DIY store, they usual sell replacement lamp holders for standing lamps, they are a doddle to fit and are not as expensive as the light bulb adapters that previous posters have mentioned.0

have brought some lamps back from the US after relocating back to blighty and have been looking for replacement lampholders. Hopefully this will end my search.£2 Savers club, joined Feb 2006.
