Parkead Forge - Palmaris Parking

Hi

Yesterrday I parked my car within Parkhead forge shopping centre car park at 1750, returned around 8 to find a ticket on it from Palmaris Parking requesting payment of £60 or £90 after 14 days.....the ticket said it was issued at 1823 as I was football traffic, seen to leave the carpark!?!

Is this legal?
Any advice as I really can't afford the £60 quid!

Thanks for any help!

Could this be Palmaris Services Ltd - a Scottish facilities management company (they have a security wing to the business)?

What you have is nothing more than unenforceable invoice. It has no authority in law. Take a look at the other threads and particularly the "stickies" at the top of this forum. The BBC Watchdog video is very educative!

Our basic advice is to ignore this as contact with the issuers tends to encourage them to redouble their efforts to squeeze your cash out of you and send you even more letters than you might otherwise receive.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

keep your dosh,, its a scam invoice, so from now on you can relax, despite threat o grams you will recieve on or behalf of these cowboys,, do not worry about the content the only thing that will happen is that the red ink(dead scary not) will get bigger on future letters,,,if you recieve a PENALTY charge notice, that is legal,, you have recieved a PARKING charge notice =loo paper, so you now know what to do with it,,despite all threats/harassment/red ink you get is is 100% safe to IGNORE.do not worry whatsoever.finally in these threat o grams you get it will say MAY,,can be,, etc taken to court,,they know they wont,we know, now you know,,,WHY NOT,,because they will lose, all they want is your 60 quid,KEEP IT.

Yup - This is toilet paper.

Don't worry about most of the posters advising you here being English-based. Although there is minor difference in terminology and procedure for the Scotland, the practical advice is identical - Ignore, Ignore, Ignore!

Although it would surprise me if the PPC was entirely clued-up. All the Scottish PPCs I've seen so far couch their threatograms in English law, which adds a whole new order of magnitude to their unenforcability! :)
