christmas care package...

...sort of

My 13yo ds is going to abroad in a couple of weeks for 3 weeks. its the first time he has been away for so long, so far and for the whole christmas period. He usually alternates spending christmas day and boxing day with me and his dad so its the first time we won't see him for the whole of christmas. He is obviously very excited about his big trip but also anxious abotu missing a 'traditional' christmas - I have decided to do a little christmas pack to put in his suitcase and need some ideas for cheap stuff to go in it

So far I have thoguht snow man soup, his favourite deocration off the tree, a cinnamon and orange wax tart that he loves the smell of and says always reminds him of happy things...any other ideas?

I want it to make him smile and not be sad/ miss us. He'll get his main presents when he gets back.

Maybe some gold chocolate coins? Suitably festive but without the weight of a full selection box.

  • And a huge, huge present for you.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
