Edinbrugh Tattoo Ticket Sales Farce

Just need to rant sorry...

Tickets for the Edinburgh Tattoo 2012 went on sale this morning. We've been planning to get a pair of tickets for this for months (to give as a Christmas gift) so needless to say I was all ready well before 10am this morning.

Anyway, to cut a very long story short I've had 3 different devices (4 different browsers) across this since about 9.45am only to find that upon reaching the front of the queue (varying from 2 hours to 4 hours when they first went on sale) the page it re-directs to either doesn't load or locks up as soon as you select your date! I've wasted over 4 hours on this now and am fuming...

... has anyone actually managed to get any tickets or is it doing this for everyone?

The queue is now in excess of 30 hours!!!

Surely there is a better way of selling tickets to popular events nowadays...

Just look on ebay, Im sure there will be plenty of people selling multiple tickets for double the price because they 'suddenly' cant go.

I had the exact same problem! Here's hoping that they sort out the problem and we still get a chance!

Hi, i had the same problem when i tried to buy tickets for a football match. Waiting in a queue and when i finally got to the buying page it wouldn't load.
It turned out to be my brower, once i reverted to IE it loaded ok (sorry but i don't know why)

Are they for sale already?? Darn. We wanted to go this year instead of having a holiday was going to go to Edinburgh for the weekend.

ETA: Still loads left so that is a relief. Will have a look when hubby gets home from work tonight.
