Thanks Wanchai - this is the headpiece
The dress is Justin Alexander 8353, bought as a sample a full 16 months before the wedding! Bought it six months before we even booked the wedding.
I'm sure the guests thought the wedding cost more than it did. The venue was utterly amazing and they gave us a fantastic deal as the room was still a building site when we booked. We were only the third wedding they'd had but were absolutely brilliant throughout the planning and on the day. They even let us serve our own wedding cake as dessert at no charge, and didn't bat an eyelid, just said "Yes of course!" when I asked if we could have black peas as the canapes (a Bonfire Night tradition in certain parts of the North West for those of you who may not know!).0 -
Thanks for the link.
You look absolutely stunning, and yay for the MSE-ness of your wedding!!!
You took a gamble on the venue and it paid off, well done xx 7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs

The hairpiece is from Glitzy Secrets. It didn't look much on the website and it wasn't quite what I expected when it arrived but in the end it was perfect. I'd ordered a few bits to try out at the trial and as soon as she saw it the hairdresser said "That's your Hollywood glamour right there!" I don't know if it's normally meant to go that way but she put it in sideways and it gave the look as I was after.
The Glitzy Secrets website has just changed so that now you can see the pieces on an actual head, whereas when I was ordering (September) you had to just imagine how it would look, hence I ordered about four things and sent the rest back. The website is much better now, but having said that, I wouldn't have ordered the one I went with if I'd seen it as it is on the new website!
I have just looked at the picture and agree - you should submit yours. It looks far, far nicer in your hair!

I sort of knew in that I definitely wanted pine cones and a wintery feel to the whole thing. I emailed the florist some pictures of bouquets I liked the look of before we met and when she came over she had loads of ideas herself and understood exactly what I was after. She brought all of the flowers and button holes on the morning of the wedding, with a little card addressed to me and OH. We opened it the day after the wedding and she'd written the names of all the flowers, berries, and leaves that were in the bouquet, which was just lovely.
She also made three crab apple wreaths, one for the top table and two to go on the banisters of the stairs in the wedding room, and two willow tree arrangements that had tealight candles in jars hanging from the branches for the church and then she moved them to the venue - we were there for lunch last Sunday (can't get enough of that place!) and they still have the trees in the room! We'd have taken them home but we live a three-hour drive away from my home town and they won't really go in the car. Plus our flat is tiny with no outdoor space - so I'm happy they've stayed at the venue, looking amazing!
Here are some closer pics of the flowers (can you see the knitted ones?! I'm a bit of a knitting obsessive so I knitted the bride and grom cake topper too and the shawl I wore when we went outside for the sparklers - it was freezing!) Again apologies for the ridiculous photo size!

This is a guest's pic, didn't get any pro pics of the shawl :-(0
