My first post on here after seeing Martin on This Morning a few times in the past.
I hope i can get some advice.
I am currently a mum of 2 , Married and claiming Joint JSA with my husband. I am 18 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child and am really confused what happens with my JSA payments in a few months time. I havent worked for 3 years as i have been a full time mum so i am not sure i will be able to get SMA?? or any other benefit for that matter?
With the loss of my husbands job in december 2010, we have since had to declare bankruptcy and we were both discharged in September 2011.
I currently receive Council Tax benefit and help from the government with my mortgage payments, child tax credits and child benefit.
Am i able to get further help financially?
Looking forward to any help/advice
Thanks
Kelly

You will be able to get more child tax credit and child benefit after the baby is born0

You wont get any help before baby is born. SMP is for people who work so your right you wont get that or any other maternity benefits. Just what you get now untill after the birth0
