warren james jewellers

went looking for my engagement ring today and saw one i really liked in warren james.

as i have arthritic fingers my ring size is quite large at size U.

warren james stated they only go up to a size N and they couldnt resize any ring.

so i asked what if i was fat and had fat fingers. the girl looked a bit stumped. the manager witheld the decision.

what a load of !!!!!! eh?

got one somewhere else.

Try being a fat bird and shopping in a "normal" shop for clothes.

Warren James ARE NOT a jewellers.

They are a shop which sells jewellery. There is a big difference!

Well, I say 'jewellery'....you get what you pay for I guess!!

sorry i never meant any offence with the fat reference. if its any consolation i fnd it hard to find clothes to fit me in some shops because im skinny and clothes sizing varies so much. take for instance my size 16 trousers. culdnt get a 10 or 12 on, no 14s in stock and 16 fit like a glove. huh?

  • I once went to a Ford dealership and asked for a Challenger tank. The dealer said he only stocked cars and didn't have any tanks for sale. I asked, "What if I were starting a war and needed lots of weapons?" and he looked at me as though I were mad. Bloody cheek, eh?

Ended up getting lots of tanks from this strange Russian fellow.

When we were shopping for my engagement ring we went into Ernest Jones...I am a size U too...and they told me to look at the mens rings as there wouldn't be any womens rings that would fit me...hows that for diplomacy

I am neither fat nor a bird, just making an observation.

as far as resizing rings goes, it depends on the style of the ring/setting of any stones, but the general advice is not to resize any more than 3 sizes in either direction, so even if they did offer such a service it still would have been no good for you.

also remember that your hands do swell/contract on account of the heat, and to make sure your ring fitting makes alloances for this, espcially in light of your arthritis.
