How do I backup my laptop !!!

Hi all, I have just bought an external hard drive and want to do a system backup and save it to my new drive, I have never done this so any help would be appreciated.

Don't have a backup option in system tools !!!!0 -
Do any say restore disk on them, or something similar.
I would always do an image backup, as you will accumulate files you want to keep, and configuration changes as you use it.
The link on how to install microsoft backup is in my first link.. not as good as a disk image though..

Yes I have 3 that say recovery disk on them if that helps0 -
