Partner made redundant, who needs to be contacted?

My partner has just been made redundant after 5 years service. He is entitled to redundancy pay. I am self employed earning 13-14k a year and I have a 12 year daughter, Just bought our first home 12 months ago. Never been in this situation before and not sure who I have to contact with advice about benefit entitlement and if we can claim anything. He was earning 18k before. Any help or advice would really help right now, many thanks

follow that, and you can kick off a claim online, but you can only do this after pay in leiu of notice etc has been completed, so depends where you are in the process.
If you have income protection insurance, then obviously you will want to speak to them , and if you dont, it might be worth seeing if you can get a wee mortgage payment holiday.
Good luck.0
